Volunteer with us at Dunwoody Nature Center! Enhance your leadership skills, environmental stewardship, and experience in supporting children's activities during our camps and events.

Join our Junior Counselor Team and volunteer this summer at Dunwoody Nature Center! 

In order to volunteer you must be between the ages of 13 and 17 and currently enrolled in 8th grade or high school.

Unless you are an ACTIVE member of YMSL or NCL you MUST SUBMIT an application to autumn@dunwoodynature.org to hold a Junior Counselor volunteer position.

Please sign up for 1/2 day or Full day shifts.

Volunteer for Monarchs & Margaritas!

Be part of Dunwoody Nature Center’s premier fundraising event, Monarchs & Margaritas, on May 10th, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM! Volunteers will help with event setup, guest check-in, auctions, and more while enjoying the lively atmosphere. 

Before signing up, please review the following requirements and details:

• Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 21 years or older. Volunteers 18-20 must have a parent or guardian as a chaperone.
• Waiver: All volunteers must read and acknowledge the volunteer waiver before participating.
• Flexibility: Tasks may vary, so we appreciate adaptable volunteers.
• Teamwork: Ability to work well with other volunteers and guests.
• Arrival & Departure: Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for last-minute setup and be willing to assist with some breakdown at the end of the event.

Join Us for Second Saturday Volunteer Day!

Time: 9 AM-12 PM

Get your hands dirty and give back to nature at Second Saturday Volunteer Day at Dunwoody Nature Center! Help with trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and park beautification while enjoying the great outdoors.

All participants must read and sign Volunteer Waiver

Volunteers are needed at least one day  to spend time with our Education Ambassador Animals. They need some one on one time to stretch out in the sun and relax. Other duties may include occasional feeding and cleaning of the enclosures.

Do you enjoy gardening?  Join Dunwoody Nature Centers team of dedicated volunteers. Volunteer - Gardener will maintain existing garden spaces on the property (pollinator garden, rain garden, bee garden, etc.).  This opportunity is from early spring to early winter.
